Who This Is For

Recovery-aware training for real bodies.

Recovery & Mobility sessions are designed for clients who are returning to movement after a pause — whether due to injury, surgery clearance, postpartum recovery, chronic pain, or simply a long break. Sessions are gentle, progressive, and built around what your body can do today.

  • Clients returning to movement after medical or physiotherapy clearance
  • People who feel stiff, unstable, weak, or disconnected from their body
  • Clients who have completed physiotherapy and want ongoing strength support
  • Older adults wanting balance, stability, and strength
  • Postpartum clients after medical clearance
  • People returning after stress, burnout, pain, or extended time away

What Sessions Include

Movement that meets you where you are.

Every session is planned around your current capacity. Progress is measured in how you feel, how you move, and what your body recovers from — not by external benchmarks.

Joint mobility work

Targeted range-of-motion work for hips, shoulders, spine, and knees — wherever your body needs the most attention.

Gentle strength rebuilding

Progressive loading that respects where you are right now. Strength is rebuilt carefully, without unnecessary strain.

Breathing & tension release

Breath-led techniques that help calm the nervous system, release chronic tension, and support recovery.

Postural correction

Attention to postural habits and alignment — particularly useful after long periods of limited movement or desk-based work.

Functional movement patterns

Rebuilding the foundational movement patterns — squat, hinge, push, pull — that support everyday life.

Balance & proprioception

Coordination and stability work to restore confidence in movement, reduce fall risk, and improve body awareness.

Injury-aware adaptation

Every exercise is chosen and modified with your specific history in mind. Nothing is done that risks setback.

Nervous system regulation

Slow, mindful training that helps the body feel safe to move again — particularly important after trauma, surgery, or extended rest.

Progress tracking

Honest conversation about how you are feeling and what is changing — so the programme always reflects your current reality.

Safety & Scope

What recovery training is — and is not.

Julie's recovery-aware training is a form of personal fitness coaching. It is not physiotherapy, medical rehabilitation, or clinical treatment.

Clients with recent injuries, surgery, ongoing pain, or postpartum considerations should obtain appropriate medical or physiotherapy clearance before beginning sessions. Julie will discuss your situation fully during the initial consultation.

Medical note

Personal training does not replace medical care, physiotherapy, or rehabilitation. Julie works alongside medical guidance — not instead of it.
